Restaurants Can Now Take Reservation Deposits Through Digital Diner

Reston, VA – August 20, 2018 – Waitbusters’ Digital Diner software has now added the ability for a restaurant to take a deposit when a guest makes a reservation. When a party doesn’t show for their reservation the restaurant’s loss is two-fold – in profit loss for the table that could have been filled and in the cost of food waste.

It happens all the time. Customers make reservations at two or three restaurants and wait to decide where they want to eat. Particularly with fine dining establishments, this can turn out to be a 100% profit loss. By taking reservation deposits, the restaurant can mitigate the damage caused by the no shows.

Shane Gau, CPO of Waitbusters, LLC explained, “We have made the software intelligent enough that the restaurant has the option to only charge deposits for certain tables at certain times or for people who have been no-shows in the past. This exemplifies our creed of making software that takes the stress and thinking out of day-to-day operations and allows management to focus on what’s most important, making sure the guest has an awesome experience.”

Digital Diner’s feature set includes online ordering, wait line and reservation management, social media marketing, SMS marketing, loyalty program, custom chatbot and jump the line revenue generator. To learn more about Digital Diner, go to www.waitbustersdining.com.
